The Soldier Fund and BrainTap are teaming up to help soldiers sleep better and optimize recovery. This biohacking study equips Green Berets with Whoop trackers to monitor health and BrainTap sessions to improve sleep, reduce stress, and sharpen focus. Backed by science, this program helps you perform at your peak—on and off the battlefield.

Here’s everything you need to know about the study and how it works.

Will my stats be reported to anyone?

No. Your data will only be accessible to the nonprofit team analyzing the study’s effectiveness. All information will be anonymized and will not be linked to your name. No data will be shared with the Army—this is strictly an observational study to assess the impact of BrainTap on the Special Forces community.

How often do I need to use it?

For the best results, we recommend completing one BrainTap session per day. However, a minimum of five sessions per week is acceptable to remain in the study. Consistency is key to optimizing your recovery and performance.

How long does the study last?

This is a four-month study designed to enhance sleep, recovery, and cognitive performance. The goal is to help Operators prepare for their next deployment in 2026 by implementing data-driven recovery strategies.

What's the catch?

There is no catch—just serious science and a commitment to your well-being. A nonprofit team member will check in with you once per week via text or phone call to ensure you have everything you need to stay engaged. Additionally, there will be a monthly team check-in to track progress and provide support.
